Unfortunately our hard drive containing all of our pictures crashed last night. Fortunately Ryan backs everything up, but I can't get to it right now. So I'll just write about our weekend, and post the pictures when Ryan gets the backup all set up!
Last Tuesday my mom was on spring break, so she came to stay for a couple of days. We just played with the kids, went to the mall, and hung out for a couple of days. Thursday morning she took Lindsey up to MI to spend a couple days with her and Grandpa. We had fun having just Sara, she's such an easy kid, but it was too quiet around here without Lindsey! Lindsey had a lot of fun with Grandma and Grandpa, she went to the park a couple times, Burger King, and to Uncle Scott's to play ping pong.
Friday night after Ryan got home from work we headed to MI. Ryan got out a little early so we took our time and stopped to have dinner with Sara at Cracker Barrel. They have the BEST reuben sandwiches! We got there around 9, but missed seeing Lindsey, she had just went to bed. So, when Sara and I woke up Saturday morning and came out Lindsey was very excited and surprised to see us! It was fun to see her expression. They ate breakfast and then they had baths. You could tell they missed each other they had so much fun in the bath tub together that day! We got Sara down for her morning nap. Once she woke up we headed to Walmart to see the Easter bunny. I never take them to see the one at the mall because it's so expensive and they never get good pictures anyways. Nicole had told me they could see the bunny for free at Walmart, so we joined her, Casey, and Melissa. They enjoyed seeing the Easter bunny, and got suckers from him. After nap that day Ryan, the girls, and I headed to Tia Helita's (our FAVORITE Mexican food) for dinner. Once we got home we all dyed Easter eggs. Lindsey enjoyed it very much, and couldn't wait for them to dry to put stickers and such on them. Once we put them to bed we headed to my cousin Amy's new house to check it out! It was fun hanging out with everyone.
Sunday morning Sara woke up up around 7:30, Ryan and I came out with her and found that Lindsey had been awake for awhile, but my dad had kept her in his office listening to music so she wouldn't see her basket before we woke up. She came out and she saw her hoola hoop first. She loves hoola hoops, and has made everyone who is willing try it out. Then she found Sara's basket, and we opened all the eggs and she ate some candy. She got a big chocolate bunny too. Sara got a piece of candy. She had to look for a little while to find her's. When she finally found it she was excited about her new Clifford DVD and a huge sucker! She also had a lot of eggs. Then we decided they should eat some breakfast before anymore candy. Sara didn't enjoy breakfast that morning. We all got showered and ready for church. Sara refused to stay in the nursery so I ended up chasing her around the church for most of the service. Then my Uncle Bob and Aunt Beth put on an Easter egg hunt for the kids. Each kid got 8 eggs, they had a lot of fun! Then everyone came over for dinner at my parents'. All of the food was great, but then it was time to head back to IN. Lindsey was so hyped up from extra sugar that she didn't take a nap, but overall it was a pretty decent ride home. The last couple days have been spent catching up on laundry and recovering from the busy weekend!
Hopefully I can post pictures from the weekend soon! Hope everyone else had a great Easter too!
