Our next day was a day at sea, and I had one clear mission: to relaaaax. We slept in, getting up just before the breakfast on Lido deck ended, we couldn't miss that! Then we changed into our bathing suits, grabbed some icecream and lemonade and went to stake out some chairs for the day. At first we couldn't find any reclining ones available, so we settled for these blue rocking chairs. Around lunch people started leaving to go eat, so we also went and ate quickly and got back to find some really good chairs right up front where all the action is. I settled in to read and sleep, but then the hair chest contest started about a foot from where we were sitting. It was hilarious. They picked three women judges, then about 6 guys had to dance down the stairs trying to impress the judges. They then picked the three finalists, and made them shake their booties to see who won. After all that excitement I finally got into my book, until Ryan wanted to go do the waterslide. We did that a couple times, then got in the pool for awhile, then got more icecream and lemonade and laid out. It was perfect and relaxing. Here's lido deck where we spent our day:

Finally we decided we should head back to our room to start getting ready for the Captain's Party (and also because I was pretty darn sunburned). Here's me laying out on our balcony after the day in the sun:
We hopped in the shower, got ready, and voila, here we are ready for the party:

The Captain's night is a formal night, so ladies are supposed to wear a cocktail dress and guys are supposed to wear a shirt and tie. You also enjoy free drinks this night, so it was fun! Here's Ryan enjoying his:

Then we headed to dinner, and I remember we both had lobster, and it was delicious! Actually, Ryan ordered prime rib and lobster, he couldn't decide, lol. We came back to our room to find this cute little towel animal. You also get an itinerary for the next day that explains what times certain things are and things about the port of call you'll be in:
We had to be up early the next morning for our shore excursion in Grand Cayman. The cruise ships can't get close enough to the shore here because it's too shallow. That means you have to tender to port, which means smaller boats come out and get you and bring you back. Once we got to Grand Cayman we found our group and waited for a while for everyone to get there. Then we boarded a bus and headed to 7 Mile Beach. Ryan and I had to ride in the front seat of the bus and it was strange to watch him drive on the wrong side of the road. Here's a picture of me on the smaller boat taking us into Grand Cayman:
We weren't really sure what to expect at 7 Mile Beach, but once we got there we couldn't get over how beautiful it was. It is the most clear water I've ever seen, and the perfect color blue. I was really sunburned from the day before, so I was really worried about the sun this day. That couldn't stop me from enjoying the water though!:

Ryan liked it too:

After the beach, we went back to the shopping district and did some souvenier shopping. Our day was actually shortened in Grand Cayman from what it originally was supposed to be because it was election day there. They couldn't sell any alchohol, and they didn't really want us around long because everyone needed to go vote. But, we found my mom some sea salt here and got a postcard. We had to wait in a crazy line to get back on the ship. It was also really hot at this point and my skin was burning. Here's a picture of 3 of the 5 cruise ships that were there that day while we were waiting in line:
Here's me waiting in line:
Once we got back to the boat we went and grabbed lunch. Everyday I went to the deli and got a reuben. Then I would go over to the Mexican place and get some chips and guacemole. Yeah, that's how I gained pounds. Ryan mixed it up, he hit up the fish n chips place, Mongolian place, and just the general buffet a couple times. Then we went back to our room and took a nice nap before we needed to get ready for dinner. We decided to walk around and get some pictures around the boat while we waited (our dinner wasn't until 8:30)
