Since moreaufamily.com was having problems, Ryan has decided to take it down. When I noticed my SIL had started a blog, I thought that would be a great way to keep our family informed of our crazy life complete with updated pictures of the girls. I know a lot of you see their pictures on myspace and facebook, but we have a lot of family and friends that don't have an account, and therefore don't get to see. So, I'm jumping on the blog bandwagon. Here's a quick update on us:
We moved in September 08 from Elyria, OH to Fort Wayne, IN when Ryan accepted a position in Huntington, IN as a quality engineer. We bought our first home, and are still trying to get every room painted and put together. We live about 30 minutes from where Ryan works, so he makes the drive everyday. We love having our own yard now (even though we haven't got to use it much yet!). This seems to be a great area for raising a family, so we are excited about that. I have joined a mom's group and the girls have been making new friends, along with myself.
Lindsey will turn 3 on March 31st. Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday that I was over a week overdue waiting for this stubborn baby girl to make her appearance! Even after they induced me, she took another 30 hours of labor and 2 hours of pushing to come out. She definitely is her father's child in looks and personality (except for the attention loving part). She is a smarty pants, knows all of her letters, shapes, colors, and can count to 20. She was always a talker, and started saying lots of words by 6 months, and was always content to just sit and read books. She didn't decide to crawl until 4 days before 10 months old. She has always been our fraidy cat, she won't try anything until she is sure she can do it. She still loves reading, but is also very active now. She keeps us on our toes, and never stops chattering away! She can also be very shy, but is slowly learning to get over it faster.
Sara will turn 1 on March 21st. Sara and Lindsey could not be more different. Sara's labor totaled just 7 hours from start to finish, and the pushing phase was about 5 minutes. She has been pretty easy going and laid back since birth. We couldn't believe our eyes when she came out because she had a head full of jet black hair! We brought Sara home from the hospital the day before Easter, and I remember coming to the sudden realization that life would be so very different from then on. Lindsey didn't talk to me for about a week after Sara was born, she clung to my mom. Things got easier though, and Lindsey finally came around. Sara has always been a sweetheart, and so much more of an active baby. She has no interest in reading, except for grabbing the book to eat it, and hasn't produced many words yet. She is happier crawling around exploring. She's brave, and wants to try everything. She's a pro at walking with her push toys, and cruising down the couch, we're expecting those first steps very soon! They are now playing together a lot more, and it's a lot of fun to watch (except when Lindsey's stealing Sara's toy, or bopping her in the head with one).
With 2 active little girls, life keeps me busy! I spend most of my days feeding someone, or cleaning up from feeding someone. We always try to get out at least once daily to either a playdate, the library, or even just to the store. It keeps all of us sane :).
Alright, well breakfast time has ended and the girls are whining to get down from their chairs, so it's time for baths and to start our day! We have a playdate with our friend Jackie and her daughter Madilyn today, should be fun!
